These Battery Chargers are especially designed for use as Power Packs to supply power (current) to equipment at the same time as maintaining batteries in a fuklly charged condition. Situations that these chargers can be used include UPS Systems, Boat Marine (House and Start Banks), Buses, Motor Homes, Campervans, Emergency Lighting, Burglar Alarms, Standby Vehicles (eg Fire Engines etc).
Ideal for use in virtually any situation where Battery maintenance is desired as well as supplying Current to equipment at the same time if required.
The MASTPP SERIES CHARGERS operate as "CONSTANT CURRENT POWER SUPPLIES" and also as "CONSTANT VOLTAGE CHARGERS".
OPERATION
On initial "Power Up" the Charger starts in a "constant current" mode and delivers full output current to the system. This current will be supplied to the Battery (batteries) or to the Load (lights, fridge, radio etc) or to all of these at the same time.
The charger will continue in the "constant current" mode until the Battery Voltage reaches a Preset Level (nominally 2.27 v/cell) at which time the charger will operate as a "Constant Voltage" supply and the current will taper to a safe "Float" Level. If there is still a load connected, the charger will continue to supply "current" to this load and to the Battery (if required) until the load is turned off or removed, at which point the charger will taper as above.
